Boggle solver FAQ

Does this solver work for 5x5 Big Boggle?

Yes. Pick 5×5, type in the 25 letters, and tap Solve. Words need at least 4 letters on a 5×5 board, and the results use the 5×5 scoring table.

Can it solve 6x6 Super Big Boggle boards with blank and two-letter cubes?

Yes. Pick 6×6. Press Space on a cube to mark it blank, and words will go around it. When you type T, I, E, H, or A, a popup lets you choose Th, In, Er, He, or An instead, and each two-letter cube counts as two letters.

What is the minimum word length, and how are words scored?

Words need at least 3 letters on 4×4 and at least 4 letters on 5×5 and 6×6. On 4×4, 3–4 letters score 1, 5 letters 2, 6 letters 3, 7 letters 5, and 8 or more 11. On 5×5, 4 letters score 1, 5 letters 2, 6 letters 3, 7 letters 5, and 8 or more 11. On 6×6 the table is the same up to 8 letters, and words of 9 or more letters score 2 points per letter. Qu counts as two letters.

Which word list does the solver use?

It uses ENABLE, a large public-domain word list. Your group’s dictionary or house rules may accept or reject some words differently, so treat the list as a guide.

How do I see where a word is on the board?

Tap any word in the results. Its path is drawn on the grid with arrows from the first letter to the last. Tap the word again to clear it.

Is using a Boggle solver cheating?

Not if everyone knows you’re using it. It works best after the timer runs out, to check your board, settle a word dispute, or see which words everyone missed. It’s also handy for practicing on your own.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It’s free, with no sign-up or download. It runs in your browser on a phone, tablet, or computer.
